The various major leagues across Europe have gotten off to a flying start, with rivalries clashing and clubs attempting to have a decent start to the season despite busy match schedules.
Some players have started to find their footing in respective clubs after a disastrous last season performance while some already established players have maintained their impressive form from last season, breaking records in respective leagues.
Furthermore, some young talents have surfaced unexpectedly and have begun to deliver spectacular performances and make an impression for their respective clubs in Europe.
Therefore, we will look at notable players so far this season who are building a name for themselves in their individual teams across Europe.
Rookie Spotlight
Some young talents have demonstrated their prowess and potential as valuable assets to their respective teams. These players are experiencing a breakout season, showcasing how important their skills and abilities can be.
Jhon Duran
The Aston Villa striker is off to a flying start of the season, scoring at a rapid pace for his club. The Colombian has proved his ball striking ability, by scoring stunning goals, one of which was a spectacular strike from outside the box against Everton.
Duran started the season as a backup striker to Ollie Watkins and has much exceeded expectations as a substitute. He has scored in all competitions this season, with six goals and it’s no surprise that the club has tied him down to a new contract as big teams scout him for a potential January move.
Liam Delap
The Ipswich Town talisman is off to a dream start in the Premier league campaign. Despite Ipswich Town disappointing return to the English topflight league, sitting in the bottom half of the table, Liam Delap remains a positive impact in the team.
The England forward has been the main catalyst in front of goal for the club scoring at a rapid rate, with his brace against Aston Villa being a highlight.
Morgan Rodgers
Rodgers has established himself as the heart of the Aston Villa midfield, creating chances and making an impression with his transitional style of play.
The 22-year-old is having a decent start to the season, setting a mark in the midfield following Douglas Luiz’s move to Juventus this summer.
Resurgence
Some players have started to find their groove after a disappointing performance last season. These players currently have a significant impact on their team’s style of play, providing assists and scoring goals.
Giovani Lo Celso
Lo Celso has been a versatile player for Spanish outfit, Real Betis since his summer move from Tottenham Hotspur. The Argentine midfielder had a disastrous last season with Spurs, scoring only two goals in twenty-two league appearances.
However, he appears to have adjusted well with Manuel Pellegrini tactics in Real Betis, proving to be a vital player with five goals in his maiden six league matches.

The Wales forward is currently Tottenham Hotspur most in-form player, scoring at a rapid rate. He struggled in his first season at Spurs, scoring five goals in thirty-two league games.

The Chelsea star man has defiled the stereotype of a one-season wonder and has continued to performed admirably, showcasing his enormous potential.
The England Forward continued to make his mark and break records, most recently being the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the first half of a league match in his team’s 4-2 victory against Brighton.
Furthermore, he was instrumental in Enzo Maresca’s early success as a manager with the Chelsea squad, scoring six goals and contributing five assists in the first seven matches of the season.
Viktor Gyokeres
The Sporting Lisbon goal poacher is one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, with eleven League goals in eight games this season.
He is currently demonstrating his consistency after his outstanding performance last season with twenty-nine league goals and ten assists. He is now highly rated in the transfer market and expected to make a big summer move next year if he maintained his remarkable form.
Jonathan David
The Lille striker has proven his worth in Ligue 1 for two consecutive seasons, so it’s no surprise that he’s started season on a high note.
The Canadian forward has been the driving force behind Lille’s attack, having scored eight goals in competitive actions this season, including an unforgettable Champions League night against Real Madrid, where he netted the winning goal in his team’s 1-0 triumph.
The Verdict
The 2024/25 season has only recently begun in Europe’s major leagues and we are still in early stages. These players have created high expectations for the rest of the season as they demonstrate their prowess and ability.
However, with a full schedule ahead of them, they will need to work hard to sustain their current remarkable form but their sensational start to the season will not go unnoticed.
