Broncos vs Saints anytime touchdown scorer pick: Troy Franklin (+550)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
We’re at the point of the NFL season where we dread some of these Thursday Night Football matchups we’re given. Nonetheless, football is football, and we’d give up a ton to watch these types of games in the dog days of summer. We’re turning our attention to Troy Franklin, a 4th round rookie wideout who has caught the eye of the Broncos coaching staff. Head coach Sean Payton has raved about his young guys getting more playing time, which was the case last week. Franklin played 65% of the snaps in their loss to the Chargers and caught his first career touchdown pass.
Much of the Saints secondary attention will be on Courtland Sutton, commanding 24.5% of the team’s target share. He’ll have his hands full while being lined up against Marcus Lattimore on the outside. Meanwhile, the run game for the Broncos is a mess. Javonte Williams is averaging 1.8 yards per carry before contact and has been lifeless much of the season.

Broncos vs Saints anytime touchdown scorer pick: Juwan Johnson (+500)
Odds available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.
An ugly Thursday Night game featuring a Saints offense decimated with injuries calls for a longshot anytime touchdown scorer – Juwan Johnson is our guy. Over the last three weeks, Johnson’s route participation has increased each week. Last week, with Spencer Rattler under center, Johnson ran a route on 76% of his snaps. With Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed sidelined and a lethal Broncos run defense led by Vance Joseph, I’ll gladly back Johnson to find the endzone for the second time this season at +500.
