EC Escapes has been having a great first year welcoming mature learners (45+) who want to get the most out of travel through language learning and cultural immersion. We kicked things off with a fun-filled press briefing event in Malta on June 12—and we have been booking steadily ever since, attracting students from all over the world to our destinations:
Malta, London, New York and Cape Town.
In fact, EC Escapes has been such a success, we’re about to launch in 2 additional locations in 2025: Montreal and Dublin. Check out all the updates below.
No stress press: Our Malta Press Briefing
From June 12-15, we held a fantastic press event in Malta to present the EC Escapes programme to foreign journalists from our top markets—Brazil, Germany, Italy and Japan.
In addition to an in-depth briefing, they thoroughly enjoyed the immersive activities EC Escapes students might experience: a Maltese cooking class, wine tasting in local vineyards and a visit to the famous Mosta Dome.

Our First EC Escapes London
We’re currently running our first EC Escapes London programme this summer. Students from all over the world are learning English for their travels, making new friends, visiting historic London landmarks, experiencing delightful walking tours and taking unforgettable classes at the Jamie Oliver cooking school.

Up next in 2024:
New York City and Cape Town
As our London programme comes to a close in September—it’s time for autumn in New York! We’re preparing now to help students make the most of it with a visit to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, boating on the lake in Central Park, and an uplifting Gospel Brunch.
Then it’s on to Cape Town to celebrate the New Year! Students will enjoy an excursion to Constantia and Kirstenbosch Gardens and a unique dinner and drumming event. A premium Christmas programme is planned between 23 December 2024 and 4 January 2025.
NEW For 2025:
EC Escapes in Montreal and Dublin
Due to the overwhelming popularity of EC Escapes, we’ll be adding two exciting new destinations next year to our current lineup—Dublin and Montreal—with programme dates that dovetail with the best seasonal time of year for these locations.
Montreal will be running the EC Escapes programme in both French and English!
