Kendrick Lamar took a dig at Drake’s appearance on xQc’s livestream on Sunday, November 24, 2024. One of his close associates, Reli, shared the screenshot of his chat with Lamar, where he mocked Drake for being the guest on the livestream. In the screenshot, Reli can be seen saying:
“You done turned blood into a streamer on Phillies.”
Furthermore, Kendrick then responded to the message by sending in three “crying while laughing” emojis. As Reli added how it was “a damn shame,” Kendrick Lamar said:
“He trippin??!”
As soon as the screenshot of Kendrick Lamar dissing Drake went viral, social media users began reacting to it. An X user, @nfr_podcast shared the screenshot, to which another user responded by saying:
“This the most drawn out beef for no reason but I’m here for it.”
On the other hand, others also commented by stating how Kendrick was just “looking for a reason to drop something.”
“Kendrick just like this at the crib looking for a reason to drop something lol…,” wrote one X user.
“I love Kendrick but him using the drake beef as his rollout is getting tired.. come up with something else,” added another user.
“Drake has BEEN on streams so idk wtf they talking about… this whole thing is getting tired now,” commented another social media user.
Furthermore, there were a few netizens who sided with Drake, and said:
“This can’t be real,” stated one X user.
“Drake has been streaming for years,” said one more social media user.
“My guy is so bothered by Drake didn’t he drop an album,” said another netizen.
The beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar started in the early 2010s
While Lamar and Drake started collaborating with one another on Drake’s 2011 album, Take Care, and then on Lamar’s 2012 hit, Poetic Justice, the feud between the two started in the early 2010s, after Lamar took a shot at Drake and various other rappers in his collaborative track with Big Sean.
Throughout the years, both passed sneak disses for each other in various songs and albums. However, the feud and the rap war escalated in October 2023, when Drake released the song, First Person Shooter, and through the song, conveyed that he, J. Cole and Lamar were the greatest rappers.
However, Lamar then released Like That, in which he conveyed that not anyone else, but only he himself was the “greatest rapper.” Drake then released Push Ups in April 2024, as a response to Lamar’s Like That. The rapper also released several other diss tracks targeting Lamar, such as Taylor Made Freestyle, Family Matters, The Heart Pt. 6, and many others.
Furthermore, Lamar also released a bunch of songs, including Not Like Us in May 2024, Euphoria, 6:16 in LA, Meet the Grahams and even Euphoria.
On the other hand, during the stream, Drake also spoke a few lines, which the netizens interpreted as being connected with his beef with Lamar. Drake said:
“I’m here, fully intact. Mind, body, and soul… You need facts to take me out, fairytales won’t do it.”
However, during the stream, Drake did not take any direct shots at Lamar. At the same time, the singer has not yet responded to Lamar’s words on his livestream yet.
