It’s the week of Thanksgiving! No, the New York Jets don’t have as much to be thankful for as, say, the Detroit Lions. But in honor of turkey day, here are 32 things fanbases and fantasy managers can be thankful for, one for each team.
Arizona Cardinals
Led by Kyler Murray and James Conner, the Cardinals have the NFL’s best goal-to-go offense, scoring a touchdown on a whopping 94.1% of possessions.
Atlanta Falcons
Here is the entire list of teams with two top 20 wide receivers in total PPR points through 12 weeks: The Atlanta Falcons. Drake London (WR7) and Darnell Mooney (WR12) have been outstanding since the start of Week 2.
Baltimore Ravens
Derrick Henry has 13 rushing touchdowns this season, his seventh straight season with at least 10.
Buffalo Bills
Khalil Shakir has 56 receptions on 66 targets from Josh Allen this season. That comes out to a nearly 85% clip, the highest of any player in the top 50 in targets.
Carolina Panthers
Of the top 20 running backs in carries this season, Chuba Hubbard ranks fourth in yards per carry (4.95), behind a list of the who’s-who at the position: Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry and Jahmyr Gibbs.
Chicago Bears
The Bears defense has now forced two turnovers after their opponent had first and goal from inside the 5-yard line, the only team to force more than one such turnover.
Cincinnati Bengals
There are only four wide receivers averaging at least 18.5 PPR points per game this season: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Nico Collins and Bengals stars Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Cleveland Browns
Nick Chubb is back! He scored two touchdowns in the snow against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, helping the Browns win their third straight game against the Steelers at home.
Dallas Cowboys
There have been four field goals made this season of at least 60 yards. Brandon Aubrey is responsible for two of them, including the season’s longest field goal when he made a 65-yard field goal in Week 3.
Denver Broncos
Courtland Sutton is third in the NFL in burns and is showing off some serious chemistry with rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Since Week 8, Sutton is second among all wide receivers in PPR points.
Detroit Lions
There are a million things going right for the Lions this year. Here is a list of categories that they rank first in: third-and-long conversion percentage, first down yards per play, total goal-to-go drives, scoring drives with three or fewer plays, touchdowns from outside the red zone, successful plays, point differential and total points.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers defense has forced three turnovers in six games this season, one of the main reasons why they boast a top 10 fantasy defense and have an 8-3 record on the season.
Houston Texans
Not to be outdone, the Texans defense ranks first in the NFL in turnovers forced this season and second in sacks, helped greatly by the eight sacks they recorded on Will Levis last weekend.
Indianapolis Colts
Alec Pierce leads the NFL in big-play percentage, which makes sense given that he also leads the NFL in yards per reception (23.3). In fact, he is on pace to be only the second player in the last 30 years to surpass 23 yards per reception.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The first of a few rookie receivers we’re going to highlight, Brian Thomas Jr.’s 13.91 burn yards per route run is third among all players with at least 260 routes run, behind only the aforementioned Pierce and Terry McLaurin.
Kansas City Chiefs
They’re the back-to-back Super Bowl champs with the game’s best quarterback in his prime and a defense that seemingly never falters in big moments. This fanbase doesn’t need to search particularly deep for things to be thankful for.
Las Vegas Raiders
We mentioned him last week, but it’s worth mentioning that Brock Bowers had double-digit targets again in Week 12, the fifth time in seven games he surpassed 10 targets.
Los Angeles Chargers
Here is the list of players with at least 21 receiving first downs since Week 8: Puka Nacua, Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Courtland Sutton and Ladd McConkey.
Los Angeles Rams
Kyren Williams has scored 26 touchdowns in his last 23 games, the second highest total in the NFL since the start of the 2023 season. He’s also third among all running backs in scrimmage yards per game during that time.
Miami Dolphins
This Dolphins offense is significantly more explosive, productive and heck, fun with Tua Tagovailoa at QB. He leads the NFL in well-thrown percentage at 89.5%.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are the top defense in fantasy through 12 weeks. Andrew Van Ginkel is a huge reason why, and while he’s not likely going to win defensive player of the year, he’s second in the NFL in tackles for loss and also remains the only player with multiple interception returns for touchdowns.
New England Patriots
There are 93 players with at least 30 rushing attempts this season. You know who leads all of them in yards per carry? That would be Drake Maye, averaging 8.67 yards per carry.
New Orleans Saints
Taysom Hill is awesome!
By the way, he also had eight receptions and threw two passes in this game.
New York Giants
Malik Nabers looks like the home run first-round selection the Giants hoped he’d be. He leads the NFL in receptions per game, despite QB instability.
New York Jets
Aaron Rodgers is 40 years old so they don’t have to suffer through this for too much longer.
OK, that doesn’t fit with the optimism of this piece. Let’s try again: Garrett Wilson is on pace for his third straight season with at least 83 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards. The only other players currently on pace to achieve those numbers in 2022, 2023 and 2024 are CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Ja’Marr Chase.
Philadelphia Eagles
We could go with a dominant offensive line here, but after his performance last week, how can we not spotlight Saquon Barkley? His 255 rushing yards in Week 12 were the ninth most by any player in a single game since 1960.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The game’s most underrated kicker resides in the City of Bridges. Chris Boswell isn’t only the game’s most underrated kicker, he’s just simply the best. He is 31-33 on the season and has singlehandedly scored every point in two different Steelers wins this season (weeks 1 and 11).
San Francisco 49ers
Only two tight ends have ever surpassed 13 receiving touchdowns in a single season. George Kittle has eight in nine games and since Week 2 has scored at least 14.5 PPR points in every game. He is the undisputed TE1 in the NFL and in fantasy right now.
Seattle Seahawks
No offense has scored more points from drives that began with less than two minutes remaining in a half than the Seahawks.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tristan Wirfs only allows a pressure on 2.5% of pass protections, the lowest mark by any NFL tackle. He is an essential part of this productive Buccaneers passing offense.
Tennessee Titans
We did something similar with the Lions, but it’s only fair to repeat with the Titans defense, which has been exceptional this season. They rank first in the NFL in five-minute drives allowed, opponent third-and-short conversion percentage, passing yards per game, passing first downs allowed, and to top it off, they have allowed the fewest plays of 10+ yards.
Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels seems to have unlocked Terry McLaurin, who is nearly on pace to break 1,200 receiving yards in a season for the first time, while having already tied a career-high for receiving touchdowns in a single season.
