A charter airplane carrying 87 passengers and crew landed at Mirabel airport without deploying its wheels and landing gear, according to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB).

Nolinor Aviation, based in Mirabel, reported an incident around 11:22 a.m. Wednesday after a belly landing of its Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
The airline confirmed at 12:45 p.m. that all 87 passengers and crew were safe and unharmed.

“Emergency services responded promptly, and the situation is now under control,” according to the airline.

The TSB was notified about the incident around 12:35 p.m., according to spokesperson Chris Krepski.
Krepski says the TSB has deployed a team of investigators to the airport to gather more information and assess the incident.
“They will examine the aircraft, they will interview the flight crew, they will interview passengers, gather as much information about the occurrence as possible,” Krepski said.
Nolinor Aviation wrote in a statement: “We leave it to the appropriate authorities to establish the cause.”
