SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA — Authorities are searching for a 34-year-old inmate who escaped from a Female Community Reentry Program in Santa Fe Springs Sunday night.
Christina Hammond, was serving a five-year sentence for assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, with an enhancement for inflicting Great Bodily Injury. She was scheduled for release Dec. 21, 2025, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
At 8:43 p.m. Sunday, staff at the facility located at 11121 Bloomfield Ave received a tamper alert for Hammond’s ankle monitor and conducted a search of the facility. A review of surveillance footage showed Hammond leaving the facility through a side door at 8:47 p.m. and climbing over the garden gates, according to the corrections department. Hers ankle monitor was left on her bed.
Hammond is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 115 pounds. She has a light complexion, light brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray jacket an gray sweatpants, gloves and carrying a blue bag.
Hammond had been sent to the Female Community Reentry Program July 1, 2024 from San Bernardino County.
