Ticketmaster Canada released more tickets to all three BC Place dates of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour on Monday.
Rumours had been swirling online that there could be a late release of tickets to the December 6, 7 and 8 dates of Swift’s tour as is frequently the case with major concert events. A late ticket release for the Toronto dates happened on Nov. 5.
It only took a few minutes after the ticket link went live for the virtual queue to reach well into the thousands. One hopeful Swiftie says she signed on and saw 4,500 people waiting in line to purchase in front of her. After an hour of waiting, that number had dwindled to 1,400.

Another Swiftie reported the virtual ticket lineup for the final tour-ending Sunday show numbered more than 7,000 hopeful fans.
All three dates in Vancouver are incredibly in-demand. But the most in-demand date is the Dec. 8 final show of the Eras Tour, which has made them the most expensive through any ticket resellers. Much of this demand is fuelled by online rumours of which special guests might appear at the show or be in attendance in the arena, and any breaking announcements that Swift might make during the performance.
Until today’s release, the trio of shows had been sold out for many months. By 5 p.m., the Ticketmaster website reported the following message: “Sorry, tickets are not currently available online.”
It is not uncommon for there to be late ticket sales for major events at BC Place. Presenters do not always know in advance what the requirements of the production will be in a specific venue until very close to the actual date.
Fans benefit from these releases by getting one more opportunity to buy a ticket at the going price rather than at the resale markups.
