  • A slew of upgrades were made to the Corvette’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8.
  • This particular C7 ZR1 has only been driven ~5,000 miles (~8,000 km).
  • It also features Chevy’s optional ZTK Track Performance Package with a large front splitter.

The new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 delivers an extraordinarily 1,064 hp from its twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. However, it’s not the only ZR1 with a four-digit horsepower figure, as a C7 model upgraded by Hennessey Performance is just as punchy and is up for auction.

This ZR1 is a 2019 example that was modified by the Texas tuner in 2023 and fitted with its HPE1000 package. As standard, the C7 Corvette ZR1 delivered 755 hp from its 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which, at the time of its release, was a remarkable figure. However, the horsepower wars have grown since then and that’s where Hennessey’s upgrades start to make sense.

In order to extract 1,000 hp and 966 lb-ft from the C7’s engine, Hennessey has added new valve springs, retainers, valves, lifters, pushrods, a high-flow air intake, a revised lower supercharger pulley, long tube stainless steel headers, and high-flow catalytic converters. The ECU has also been tweaked to make the most of these upgrades. Like the standard model, all of this power is sent to the rear wheels thanks to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

With the exception of some Hennessey badges, little differentiates the exterior of this ZR1 from any other. It’s painted in a simple shade of Arctic White and has the optional ZTK Track Performance Package that includes an adjustable rear wing and a unique front splitter. It also continues to sit on the original 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, measuring 285/30 at the front and 335/25 at the rear.

The Bring a Trailer listing reveals the car has only ever been driven ~5,000 miles (~8,000 km). If you want to get behind the wheel of what could be the ultimate C7 ZR1, be sure to place a bid before it’s too late.
