This is the wild moment a shopper is shoveled into an electric vehicle (EV) parking space after attempting to reserve the spot by standing in it.
Dashcam footage filmed on November 17 in the parking lot of Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, California, shows a driver waiting for an EV charging spot.
However, the driver is then obstructed from moving by one passenger emerging from a car in a nearby queue to reserve it.
In no mood for time-wasting, the driver begins to pull into the spot, despite the woman having her back to her and looking away from any oncoming traffic.
Making no attempt to move despite the advances of the vehicle, the woman – wearing a white jumper and blue sweatpants – is seen absent-mindedly puffing away on an electronic cigarette.
She is then filmed attempting to hold the space by pushing her back into the bonnet of the car, with the motorist behind the wheel advancing into the spot to claim it.
The unknown individual then lies back on the bonnet in dramatic fashion in a final desperate attempt to stop the car from moving into the space.
However, once the car brakes and comes to a halt, she nonchalantly returns to an upright position and appears to say ‘it’s fine’ – before giving the driver a confused and quizzical look.

The video ends by seeing the woman walk back to the vehicle she left earlier on – while glaring at the driver who stopped her from standing in the spot.
Posting their version of events, the driver from whose dashcam the video was filmed wrote: ‘Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego gets busy during the holiday season. I pull into the EV Chargers and they’re full’.
‘I’m patiently waiting for a spot to open. As I’m waiting, two women in a Mustang pull into the lot and pass by me in the aisle, clearly watching me as I’m signaling for a Mercedes to pull out.
‘Passenger in the Mustang gets out of the car to try and block my spot while she’s clearly on the other side.
‘I start pulling into the spot and the girl starts to try and push my car back, and eventually lays on my car. The rest of the video is history.’
It comes after a Food Lion employee was caught smashing through the window of a customer’s car as it slowly filled with smoke in the parking lot.
The unidentified worker was seen slamming a fire extinguisher against the driver’s side window of a Hyundai Sonata outside of the supermarket in Lancaster, South Carolina.
After the window broke, a large plume of smoke escaped the vehicle as the employee rushed to pull the pin out of the extinguisher and began spraying it inside.

In the video recorded by an onlooker, the worker continuously sprayed inside the car after telling workers inside through a walkie-talkie the make and model of the vehicle to alert its owner.
A woman and her friend appear shortly after, with the woman crying: ‘That’s my car!’
She unlocked the driver’s side door and more smoke spilled out as the video cut off.
After getting it open, she seemingly admitted to the manager that she ‘had a candle lit.’
