This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback was modified in the style of a GT350 with white stripes, a fiberglass hood secured by pins, Shelby gauges, and 15″ Torq Thrust wheels. The car is powered by a built 289ci V8 that was overhauled in 2018 and which is linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.50 Traction-Lok differential, and the car also has a dual exhaust system, rack-and-pinion steering, upgraded suspension components, front disc brakes, a Lecarra steering wheel, competition belts, and a push-button stereo. This Mustang was purchased by the seller in 2016 and is now offered at no reserve with records and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.

The trim tag indicates the car was ordered in Caspian Blue (H), and it has been repainted and fitted with a fiberglass hood that has a scoop and which is secured by stainless-steel pins. A stripe kit and GT350 badging was added.

The car rides on a modified suspension with 1″ drop springs up front, a lowering kit out back and heavy-duty leaf springs, a 1″ front sway bar, Koni dampers, traction bars, a Monte Carlo bar, and an export brace. The 15″ Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires, and the car has front disc brakes.

Competition belts have been fitted for the front bucket seats, and one of the speaker grilles is missing. Shelby door sill trim, GT350-logo mats, and a reproduction Shelby cluster were also installed along with a Lecarra steering wheel.

Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The ~83,500 miles indicated on the five-digit odometer is not accurate according to the seller, who has driven the car ~2,700 miles over the last eight years.

The 289ci V8 was built in the 2000s to displace 306ci according to the previous owner, and it featured Trick Flow heads, forged pistons, a COMP Cams camshaft and lifters, a finned Cobra oil pan, tri-y headers, and an Edelbrock 750cfm carburetor. It was rebuilt in 2018 with DSS forged pistons, hydraulic lifters, and Airflow Research valves.

The car was fitted with a 3.50:1 28-spline Traction-Lok differential, a replacement 9″ housing, and a billet steel flywheel for the four-speed Toploader during the additional build, and it also has a dual exhaust system.
