Do I need to read Heuvelt’s, Hex, to appreciate, Oracle, more?

I've read the first 60 pages of, Oracle, and am thoroughly enjoying this book. But I feel like I would enjoy it more if I knew Grim better, and the circumstances surrounding Black Spring, NY.

I'll put down, Oracle, and read, Hex, first depending upon the recommendations.

Trying to avoid any spoilers from either novel in the answers, please.
