wecollect app not playing music in background anymore

hi guys. small question regarding WeCollect app.

i mainly use the app to organise music i produce into different boards and have them accessible everywhere. since today i cannot play music in the background anymore. when i minimize the app or lock screen it stops playing. iphone user. was this removed? if yes i'm afraid i will cancel my premium subscription 🙁

iPhone 12 mini iOS 16.3.1

i quickly checked the internet for settings to enable this feature but did not find anything. the app does not appear (anymore?) under Settings > General > Background App Refresh
