Sir David Attenborough is unhappy about AI copying his voice. The BBC shows him fake clips which sound like him. AI technology makes the clips.
Sir David does not like that at all. His voice says things which he never really says. Dr. Jennifer Williams is an AI expert. She explains how AI makes these clips. AI takes recordings of someone’s voice from the internet and makes a fake voice. Some people use it for fun. Others use it to trick people or spread fake information. This can cause problems. Many people trust Sir David.
Dr. Williams says that people should check if a voice is real. Also, we need rules to stop this from happening.
Difficult words: fake (not real), recording (a sound or video which people can listen to or watch), trick (to make someone believe something what is not real or true).
