Ronan was visiting with friends at a home on Cabin Road that night, police said. At some point he and another guest, Mark Miller, got into an argument in the driveway of the house, according to the district attorney’s office.

At some point during the fight, police said Ronan struck Miller in the face with a brick.

It’s not clear what started the dispute, but when guests of the home went outside to check on the pair, they found Ronan standing over an unresponsive and bloody Miller, officials said.

Detectives said they later found the brick, wrapped in a balaclava mask, on the floor of Ronan’s car.

Miller was taken to Grandview Hospital for treatment.

Bail was set at $500,000 cash and he was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing date is set for Dec. 3.
