This 2003 Volkswagen GTI VR6 was purchased new by the seller at Donaldson’s Volkswagen of Sayville, New York, and it now indicates 66k miles. Work performed the following month included servicing the throttle body, re-sealing the oil pan gasket and timing cover gasket, and changing the spark plugs as well as replacing the crankshaft position sensor, front crankshaft seal, oil pressure switch, intake manifold drive unit, intake manifold gaskets, spark plug tube seals, and ignition coils. A replacement evaporative emissions purge valve and an AGM battery were installed in June 2023, at which time the air-conditioning refrigerant was recharged. The oil was changed in July 2024, and the seller notes that full synthetic oil is used.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The CV axles were replaced in May 2021. The seller notes that the theft-deterrent shield can be removed to eliminate the noise. Photos show corrosion and fluid seepage on various underbody components.
