Essendon and Geelong are among the clubs trying to move up the order, with the likes of Jack Whitlock, Jobe Shanahan, Alex Dodson and Christian Moraes some of the top options. West Coast are keen on Shanahan, but Shanahan played for the Bombers’ VFL side during the year and they would love another young key forward to go with Nate Caddy.
The Cats could be eyeing off the draft’s best ruckman, Dodson, while Whitlock could also be an option for them. It would be a dream result for Port Adelaide, at No.33, if Whitlock somehow got through to them after originally being linked to their first pick.
