The eagerly awaited third season of The Traitors U.K. is arriving earlier than expected.
Viewers in the U.K. can tune in on January 1 via BBC One and Player, according to Variety.
Once again, host Claudia Winkleman will guide a group of contestants in the Scottish Highlands as they compete for a grand prize of £120,000 ($152,000).
According to the show’s logline: “We welcome a new group of strangers to play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning up to £120,000. New series, and a whole new game. But who will make it through?”
The series will also include a companion visual podcast, Traitors Uncloaked, hosted by comedian Ed Gamble. The podcast will be available after each episode on BBC Two, iPlayer, and BBC Sounds.
Episodes of Season 3 will air on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights.
Produced by Studio Lambert, part of All3Media, the show continues to be a major success. The BBC has already committed to a fourth season and a celebrity edition, though casting for the latter is still underway.
All3Media handles the global rights for the format and tape sales of The Traitors, which originated with IDTV in the Netherlands.
For fans eager to immerse themselves in the show, a live experience based on the show is coming to London next year, giving participants a chance to play the game themselves.
