Sometimes you just have to take things with a grain of salt — with some lime or lemons too.

Especially while downing shooters.
We already knew Olivia Chow could dress up. Now we know Toronto’s mayor can drink up too.
At least it sure looked like it in a TikTok video posted Monday appearing to have been shot in an undisclosed nightclub setting where the mayor is standing on a stage with others in a red dress and in a jovial mood.
With supporters cheering her, Chow appears to take a shot glass full of what is said to be tequila in one gulp, like they do in the movies. She then has some fun doing a little mock unsteady balance pose.

As George Carlin used to say, “One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.” But not with Toronto’s mayor in red. She looks like she can handle her booze.
Talk about the money shot! This video posted by an account named “Lauren” is starting to go viral. “Last night was crazy,” the video is captioned.
The mayor’s office tells the Toronto Sun that the video was shot during a Choir! Choir! Choir! Taylor Swift singalong on Sunday at Longboat Hall on Dovercourt Rd.
It sure looked like fun and it was a fun video. We haven’t seen a video of a Toronto mayor going wild since the famous videos of Rob Ford in bars or basements and sometimes taking a hit of crack.
This is not that. The mayor’s allowed to chug a glass of hooch anywhere or anytime she wants.

This mayor likes to have a good time. She often dresses up like the people she’s gathering with. From Swifities to the Caribbean Carnival to ethnic holidays, Chow tries one on with the best of them and, in this case, ties one on too.
Perhaps if they had tequila out there at the United Jewish Appeal’s Sherman Campus on Oct. 7 Toronto might have seen her show up. She will show up for something like this boozy event or even where they are serving grilled cheese.
In the immortal works of superstar singer Pink: “Party crasher … don’t be fancy, just get dancy, why so serious? So raise your glass …”
And then down whatever is in it, in one blast just like Toronto’s mayor does.
